"Gold Hill" folding stool designed by cabinetmaker Poul Hundevad, Denmark. This example from the 1960s in the most beautifully patinated cognac leather and oak. The model stems from a folding stool from the bronze age circa 1400 BC found during an excavation in Guldhøj (Golden Hill) in Denmark. The stool was designed by Hundevad in 1960 based on the drawings of this stool and is a Danish modern furniture icon. Original leather.

Seat Height: 19 in (48.26 cm)
In fair condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Visible through-bolt connection on the leg frame's pivot axis. One of the upper seat stretchers shows an age-related split that does not run entirely through the wood.
